Re: The Trouble With Y-Wings
One thing to keep in mind is that there are two "tiers" of ships you're dealing with for each faction....the original generation of relatively balanced chassis that came with the first JTL upgrade, and the second batch of stuff that came with Rage of Wookies. The first series were all plac...

Re: bespin port and pyrollin cake
Eat the cake before your assembly (once all the resources are selected)...I think it has a duration so one dose works for your entire crafting session? Bespin port is different....use one dose before each experimentation, and the dose is consumed when you push the button to experiment.

Re: My first YT-1300
POB = "party on board" (I think?) but is generally limited to the original 3 (1 each for rebel, privateer, and imperial) ships with interactive space inside. These are the Nova Courier, YT-1300, and Decimator. (multiplayer ships where people can move around and decorate). I guess this also...

Re: My first YT-1300
Nice mass there. A bit late in replying, but as a warning (unless something's changed recently) I'd point out that the standard POB ships work great whether or not mass is experimented on. Using all those 250k mass parts, you'll never come close to filling it up even if it was made with grind resour...

Re: X-Wing Advanced Loadout:
For some reason I always seem to get more and better loot grinding out a squadron than farming a static spawn. That being said, I find that duty missions give a decent drop rate. If you fly an advanced Xwing, it means you're probably able to use the tier 4 squadron commander on Lok (Akron's Havoc sq...

Re: Grinding Architect
Depending on what server you're on, and what the population there is like (plummeting sadly on most servers), I wouldn't rule out making certain ship chassis for sale. No one really wants the T1 models unless you can really experiment them well, and even then they won't be too popular. A lot of new ...

Re: Dumb mistakes
If you're making astromechs and flight computers to sell, I've found that "throwaway" level 3 and 4 astromechs, and then level 6s for long-term use sell well. Level 1-2 units can hold a shunt or other useful commands, but most pilots get through those missions quickly enough and are certif...

Re: What sort of ship components are in demand these days?
I found that a shipwright's shop does well with a good supply of chassis, but I often bought (don't currently have a shop up and running) them from others to resell (always with permission). At some point you might find you need all the harvesters you have collecting a certain resource with amazing ...

Re: Ship Armour...
At the risk of taking this topic away from the forum's purpose, have you tried shooting out their engines? Ties can be stopped with fewer hits that way, then blasted at your leisure once the entire wave is stopped. The heavy Z gives a bit more shooting accuracy so they go down faster, which lets you...

Re: Ship Armour...
If you're having a lot of trouble with missions in the longprobe, might look into a high-mass Z-95. Hopefully you're already using droid overloads, but if not even the level 2s make a big difference. A level 3 astromech will hold all 4 level 2 overloads and shunt. I found the simplest way through th...

Re: What sort of ship components are in demand these days?
If your population's low and the people there have been playing the space game for some time (ie few new players), you could concentrate on gunboat parts unless someone already has that market cornered. Everyone who completes the new space content will want to set their ship up. Maybe make a couple ...

old shipwright returning
Back after not playing for quite some time. Great to see swgcraft moved and revitalized. Played mostly on Kauri and some on Starsider. Mostly a shipwright named Ogoun on both servers. Just completed a SEA experimentation set for shields, advanced components, and boosters and have been getting some a...
