Re: SWG closing down December 15, 2011
It's one of those bittersweet moments. I had already cancelled my accounts in the wake of the hack job. After a few weeks off, I really couldn't get back into the swing of things. No use paying for something you don't use. But putting an end date really kills any reason to go back. I was in the midd...

Re: Artificial Lure
Don't feed the troll(s). For my money, Onyx does a better job than most Senators. But on the whole, it has to be one of the most thankless jobs in the known universe. Caught between a clumsy Dev team and a bitter, bitchy fan base, it's a wonder anyone volunteers for the job. It's pretty obvious thei...

Downtime aftermath
Kind of figured something like this would happen. Logged in briefly to one of my accounts early, but didn't really do anything till today. Lost 3 Elite flora farms in the process. No one to blame but myself, but games like this have a certain momentum and I lost mine. I figure there will be a small ...

Re: Game up....game on!
Figures. Just bought an xpac and 2 stuff packs for Sims 3 since they were on sale this weekend. Figured we were in for another 2 weeks of waiting.
And it looks like resources have not shifted yet.

My monthly sub doesn't come up for another week. Has anyone been charged for a new month or have they suspended that?

Re: Farstar - Shutting up shop
Good luck with it. I logged back into my LOTRO characters for the first time in over a year, but I can't stomach the nonstop LOTRO store stuff. It's why I left in the first place and why I won't go back. Just seems to cheapen the game. But at least you picked a good time to leave.

Re: SWG times out, forums down.
From what I read, CC info was only breached at an older European database. For everyone else, it was passwords and personal info that was hacked. Might want to make up a fake name for your birthplace or mother's maiden name. But who knows? They haven't exactly told the truth about it so far. My sad ...

30k crate and creature resources
2 questions about this. I've noticed when updating the resource list that creature resources are listed. Are these all the most recent resources? Sure would be nice to check this rather than have to kill every critter in the galaxy. Also I noticed it has an extensive list for Horn. AFAIK, nothing dr...

Re: quality and key stats
Two things you can do here. Look up the schematics in the database. See what resources they take and what attribute is important. Look for specific resources. Day you have a Polysteel Copper with a high OQ. Click on the "Polysteel Copper" link and see what it is used in. Tab back to see th...

Re: Resources with no stats?
SWGCraft is a user-driven project, the resources aren't automagically entered the moment they appear on the servers, but are instead added by dedicated surveyers/crafter/other people. What?!? I thought all the stats were automagically entered by elves? Isn't that why I pay my tribute to the Sacred ...

Worst resource name
Current Talusian fruit on Bria is called Ebola. Anyone want a bite of that?
I suppose there has been a worse name. Can anyone top that?

Re: resource scavenger
Slightly off topic, but I'm curious since I'm on the same collection.
Does Chandad help with the high quality sample/resource scavenger?
I've been using it and it seems like I get one or the other for each serving. Not sure if there's anything to it or it was just luck.

Re: RE - Chicken or Egg?
I'm actually kind of embarrassed as there's a topic about 5 topics down that's almost the same thing. Would help to read first. Zimoon made me think about something when he talked about time sinks. In the old days, skill tapes dropped from mobs sometimes, but most that I looted came from the POI cav...
