I have 2 possible program issues you might be interested in. If they are not problems let me know what I'm doing wrong please.

I just uploaded a 2nd Mustafarian Iron (Ogoawebate) on SWGCraft.co.uk and and after updating your program I noticed it only picked up the first Iron (Voadou) that was already listed. I tried downloading the resources again but got the message that the latest list was already downloaded. My question is, does your program only list one resource of each type for Mustafar?

Secondly, On the "What To Harvest Today" tab, row 71 I have two Irons with the follow stats:

CR CD DR HR MB OQ SR UT
Duramykian, Kamrris Iron 754 485 939 941 576 904 946 985
Ogoawebate, Mustafarian Iron 797 454 990 986 584 572 993 995

The table is showing that the best resource is Duramykian and Ogoawebate being second best for the structure trader profession. You can clearly see that Ogoawebate is the better choice since row 71 calculates for MB, OQ, SR, and UT. What I notice though is that if you go to the resources tab in your program and hover the mouse cursor over the red triangle in the corner of the MB stat the percentage max for Duramykian is 96.00% and Ogoawebate is 58.40%. I'm not sure why the program is calculating two iron MBs differently but I think this is what is making the wrong Iron placed as the better of the two. That my guess of course by maybe you can tell me what is going on or how I can get the program to make the right adjustments so it will show the correct information.

Anyway, just thought I'd pass these observations along to you.

First of all, thanks for the observations. They are always a welcome thing (they let me think if something can be enhanced).

About your first question, both in the What to harvest Today and the WTH Summary should be listed only the best resources currently available, one of each type. I was thinking about the possibility to add another sheet where to show ALL the resources currently available on your server. All in all, that might be a good thing, but the person that created the worksheet in the first place surely thought that if there are 2 different resources of the same type, surely you would harvest the best one. Anyway, remeber that some time might pass between the moment you upload new resources on the site, and the time the csv file is compiled to be downloaded.

About your second question, I have to say there's an error about resources cap. All the mustafarian resources are listed to have a cap of 1000, while I can see in Zimoon's file Mustafarian Iron has the same MB cap of normal Iron, and that's 600. I'll fix that bug in the next release (after GU5). Anyway, consider that with the 4% bonus from your expertise, both resource are almost capped in MB SR and UT (except the first one for few points in SR) while the first one has about 330 more points in OQ so, even if i don't know what are the weights of the experimentation (I can suppose 25%MB 25%OQ 25%SR and 25%UT), I could assume that the first one, despite the error on the MB cap for the second one, is better in any way. Doing some maths:

For the first: 25%(576+576*.04) + 25%(904+904*.04) + 25%(946+946*.04)+25%(985+985*.04) = 250(MB is capped at 600 so it counts as 1000) + 235 + 246 + 250 = 981 = 98.1%
For the second: 25%(584+584*.04) + 25%(572+572*.04) + 25%(993+993*.04) + 25%(995+995*.04) = 250 + 149 + 250 + 250 = 899 = 89.9%

Is it correct?

Just for general information: The process that generates the Data Export files is started at xx:45, which means that the files should be available no more than a few minutes later. For this particular case, the resource would be included in the data export that happened approx. 30 minutes after the resource was entered

One question - I know it can show the suggested resources to use for a schematic, but can it tell you how many items you can make using the suggested resources? I looked and couldn't find this so wasn't sure if I just missed it.

Actually no, there isn't a "shopping list" implemented, but it's something that I wanna implement in one of the next releases. This is why I encourage everyone to express their needs/wishes, so that, based on your suggestions, I can implement new and better features.

Actually I'm trying to implement an "Experimentation Emulator" even if there're some game mechanics I need to understand before implementing it.

Out of curiosity, what does the Filter column on the Resources page do? It would be nice if you could tell the What to Harvest sheet to ignore any items you've "Filtered" out so that if you have a super uber resource that you only use for special occasions then the WtH sheet doesn't use that resource as it's basis for determining if there's anything better or worse available. I see the checkbox on the WtH sheet for ignoring filtered items, but I don't think it's working (probably operator error ).

You've almost discovered how it works. To hide a resource, just put the value 0 (zero) in the FILTER column (worksheet "Resources") in relation to the resource(s) you want to hide, then toggling on and off the option in the WTHT worksheet, you'll hide/show the hided resources.

If I'm not wrong, once you modify the FILTER value in the resource sheet, you have to update the tool, but that could not be required. Just try it without updating, if it doesn't work, update the tool once you've modified the value (or the values if you want to hide more than a single resource)

Let me know if you have additional issues.

Alright I got it to work. You also need to have all the other values in the Filter column set to 1. Apparently if you leave the Filter column blank and then click the check box on the WTHT sheet, the VBA code reads all blanks as zeros, so it puts None Available in for everything. Also, you do need to click the Update Tool command button on the Resources page when you change anything from 1 to 0 and vice versa or the WTHT sheet doesn't recognize the change.

Either I found an error or it's me (again )

I am harvesting wood for use in an Enzyme Re-Processor Filter. The relevant stats are 80% OQ and 20% DR. Using the tool for Sunrunner, the resource that the tool tells me to harvest is Fonelid Dathomirian Deciduous Wood. Fonelid is listed as 945 OQ and 70 DR. The tool states that the Exp Value is 80.44%.

Here's the problem I see: (945/1000)*0.80 = 0.756. (70/800)*0.20 = 0.0175. Adding these two together and multiplying by 100 gives 77.35%, not 80.44. Additionally, there is a Dantooine Conifer wood with OQ 942 and DR 348. Just by looking at the almost identical OQs and the much Higher DR, the tool should be reporting the Dantooine Conifer Wood as the WTHT resource for the Enzyme Filter, not the Dath Deciduous Wood.

Is my calculation correct, or is the tool doing it correctly? Also, why is the tool not finding the correct resource? I can send you the latest csv file from swgcraft.co.uk for sunrunner so that you can look at everything if that will help.

Update: Apparently if you don't delete the old .csv file out of the download directory it won't ever overwrite the old information. When I deleted the old csv file and downloaded a fresh copy it updated properly. I think the problem originally was that I had the day limit set to 4, which is why it never saw the better resource, but when I changed that to 100, it never updated the resources. Not sure if there's anything you can do to tell the tool to force an update somehow, but there you go.

Well, the first problem (80.44% instead of the 77.35%) is due to the fact that you're not taking into consideration the 4% bonus increase from expertise.

About the newer resource, you have found the explanation by yourself.

About the fact that the tool doesn't update, I've never seen that problem, the file is usually overwritten without any difficoulty. Sometimes it happens that the url might be unaccessible (internet issues) but the tool is unable to see if the file has been successfully downloaded. I've seen that problem in the past and I'm trying to find a way to check for the validity of the downloaded file.

Ah expertise, thank you! I had forgotten about that.

But, if that's correct, then the tool should be reporting 81.44%, no? 80.44% is only 3% higher than 77.35, not 4.


EDIT: nevermind panino, I just saw your Experimentation thread where you're trying to work out where the expertise bonus is applied, so I'm assuming this is related to that issue. I hope you can figure it out!

Well, the bonus is applied on the resource's stat not on the final experimentation percentage. So it's not 80% + 4% = 84%, it's most likely 960 + (960*0.04) = 998,4

then, upon that value the experimental weights are calculated.
