This is exacly the place where I have read about it, but this curator doesnt give me any sell option. Just some quest, is it prereq?

Yeah, I just visited him today. You have to visit artists in Mos Eisley, Wayfar and Mos Espa, go back to him and then he sells you the schematic for the painting of the week or whatever. I got some kind of bush painting.

Note that on some servers the guy in the Museum never offers the schems - or if he does it's for a very short period. This is the case on Infinity, I've interviewed the artists on several cycles and never get offered a schem to purchase.

Seems to be a shortage in general for paintings these days. The lady outside the Mos Eisley cantina from GU 5 isn't there anymore either, as with the C3-P0 comlink thing.

I had a notion they ought to let Ents make paintings and other works of art.

Bestine Paintings have always been a sore spot at some galaxies.
At my old galaxy, Gorath, it worked as a charm, at Chimaera the shop is open just a few hours up to a day or so. One need to hang on the handle when the curator decides to sell off a few paintings.

It works like the following:

• Every 28 days the shop opens (it seems 30 to 45 minutes are added each server reset so sometimes it is 29 days).
• The shop is open from a few hours to some days
• Once it closes the curator has some different ways to keep you occupied, the visit-some-artists-and-vote is just that, it keeps you occupied but does not impact on anything
• The shop is not connected to the Bestine Election, even though the curator is involved in both

So, keep notes and go figure when it is about time to open the shop. Once upon a time when I gathered all possible schematics I posted a toon there when the message was that it was less than a week to go, but soon I had my notes and went there just the day before the big opening

Unless it didn't go through in my post, the just-a-few-hours (if-ever) is a bug that has plagued those galaxies forever. Maybe the SOE Devs get more time for the remaining galaxies after Oct 15
