Updated list of Bugged Chef items - Current as of 7/1/07

Post by Onyx » Wed Apr 04, 2007 6:18 pm

I'm still working on rewriting the FAQ, but here's the current bugs and issues (and a few non-issues as well).

Newest additions:
  • Pre-NGE pet food schematics have disappeared. This includes Sweesonberry Rolls, Pastebread, Felbar, and Blap Biscuits. Any old crafted versions of these do not currently work and should be removed from vendors and set aside until this gets fixed.

Cavellian Creams: Currently uncraftable because the subcomponent they use (pastebread) has accidentally been removed from the game.

All Chapter 6 Pet Foods do not show their quantity in either the combine, experimentation stages of crafting, nor does it show on a crated product.

Some of these are still around from the original list, I have adjusted and added a few that I know are still around.

Items restricted to Hand Crafting (i.e. you can't make a manufacturing schematic)
  • All 12 pet foods
    Bacta Mark I
    Bacta Mark 2
    Bacta Mark 3
Bugged Foods and Components
  • Barrels: Provides the same multiplier to a drink's stack size as a small glass instead of twice that of a cask.
Pre-NGE pet food schematics have disappeared.
Jaar: States that it provides Health Regen but does not appear that this works.
Starshine Surprise: states that it provides a reduction to the incap timer. Testing has shown there is no change in incap time.
Rancor Aid: Provides a debuff to electrolyte drain however this skill is no longer in the game. There is a medic DoT that is called that, but Rancor Aid is tied to the pre-NGE version and no longer works.
Cavellian Creams: States that it provides a reduction to the incap timer. Testing has shown no change in incap time.
Caf only has "Nutrition" experimentation category that effects both the buff size and duration.
Ruby Bliel: Missing the nutrition experimentation line. You can not adjust the buff strength.
Dustcrepe: Missing the nutrition and flavor experimentation lines. You can not adjust the buff strength and the duration is set at 20 min.
Jaar: Missing the nutrition and flavor experimentation lines. You can not adjust the buff strength and the duration is set at 20 min.
Karken Ribenes: Missing the flavor experimentation line. The duration is set at 20 min. and cannot be adjusted.
Blue Milk: Missing the flavor experimentation line. The duration is set at 20 min. and cannot be adjusted.
Aitha: Missing the flavor experimentation line. The duration is set at 20 min. and cannot be adjusted.
Gornar: Missing the flavor experimentation line. The duration is set at 20 min. and cannot be adjusted.
T'illa-T'ill: Missing the flavor experimentation line. The duration is set at 20 min. and cannot be adjusted.
Smuggler's Delight: This is supposed to reduce the "downer" timer of spice. However, instead of reducing it, this food multiplies it by the experimented factor and typically the user will have a 30-45 minute downer instead of 15-30 seconds (the downer used to be longer).
Carboreductive Catalyst: This is the tissue for the Light Filling Additive. The schematic should be granted with expertise but is currently missing.
Caloric Conversion Supplement: This is the tissue for the Medium Filling Additive. The schematic should be granted with expertise but is currently missing.
Carbocaloric Eliminator: This is the tissue for the Heavy Filling Additive. The schematic should be granted with expertise but is currently missing.
Bespin Port bonus may not stack with a player city's research center bonus. [more testing info needed].
Garrmorl and Durindfire both use resources that all lack PE/FL. This caps Nutrition and Flavor experimentation categories to 33% (and that assumes 1000 OQ).
All of the old BE tissue schematics which are now gained by chefs through their expertise still have a slot for "Secret Research Data". This item has never existed in the game.
Almost all foods/drinks have incorrect descriptions. Their current description indicates their CU use and not their post-NGE one.
All Drinks do not show their quantity in either the combine, experimentation stages of crafting, nor does it show on a crated product.
Bugged experimentation description
The majority of foods have this experimentation stat contribution:

Filling: 25% OQ, 75% DR
Flavor: 66% Flavor, 33% OQ
Nutrition: 66% PE, 33% OQ
Quantity: 25% DR, 75% PE

However, some foods (especially ones with non-flora resources) display different percentages. Testing appears to show that regardless of what is displayed in the draft schematic, the above percentages are always used in the following cases (and the correct value is what displays on the food chart:

Possible bugged percentages (non-standard, not all are definately confirmed)
  • Spice Tea Flavor: DR33% FL66%
Deuterium Pyro Flavor: DR 33% FL66%
    Durindfire Flavor: DR33% FL66%
    Thakitillo Flavor: FL 66% DR33%
    Flameout Flavor: FL 66% DR33%
Scrimpi Flavor: FL 66% DR 33%
Blood Chowder Flavor: FL 66% DR 33%
Pikatta Pie Flavor: FL 66% DR 33%
Kiwik Clusjo Swirl Flavor: FL 66% DR 33%
Ithorian Mist Flavor: FL 66% DR 33%
Veronian Berry Wine Flavor: FL 66% DR 33%
Chandad Flavor: FL 66% DR 33%
Pastebread Flavor: FL 66% DR 33%
Rakririan Burnout Sauce Flavor: FL 66% DR 33%
Trimpian Flavor: FL 66% DR 33%
    Won-Won Flavor: FL 66% DR 33%
Non-bugged foods: (stuff that has been reported as bugged but actually works)

A +10 or higher Bespin Port does not give you an additional experimentation point.
  • Bespin Port only improves your success rate (i.e. it increases your chance of amazing successes and decreases your chance of critical failures) when experimenting, it is not actually a +experimentation skill mod.
Pyollian Cake and Bespin Port do not last as long as their duration states.
  • The duration on both of these items is "20 minutes or the first assembly/experiment". Each of these items is only good for one assembly and one experiment respectively. The only reason for the 20 minute timer is to provide a time limit within which you need to either use it or lose it so to speak.
Crafted tissue additives such as Intelligent Nanonutrients or Broad Spectrum Nutrients can't be put into foods/drinks.
  • This is correct and working properly. The tissues are the BIO COMPONENT ingredient of additives. After you craft the tissues, you must then convert them to additives by choosing the Heavy, Medium, or Light additive schematic found in the food component section of your food crafting tool. This schematic has a slot for the bio component, a slot for water, and an optional slot for "secret research data". As listed above, the optional secret research data slot does not have anything in game that can be put there currently. Only after you convert the tissues to additives can you add them to the foods/drinks that you craft.
If anyone has other items to add, or can confirm/deny the bug, please reply here.[/url]

Bespin Port only improves your success rate when experimenting, it is not actually a +experimentation skill mod.
This increases your CHANCE to get an amazing sucess, however by how much it doesnt say, and with the bonus from a research city - im not sure how it stacks, and or if it does indeed stack.

Yep. I do have the question on whether the buff stacks with research center in the main bug list--it's never been proven or disproven.

I'll reword the non-bug statement though. We are saying the same thing, just with different words and I like your wording better:)
