Hi
I've recently returned to Galaxies and have a level 20 Officer and a level 19 Trader (Engineering specialisation atm)
Just thought I'd sign up here to see if I can get some tips, i'm the diehard Imperial on Eclipse, heh.
Pelia.
((Chances are i've put this on the wrong forum.))

Re: Hi
Tips about what?
I have found Droid Engineer to be an excellent "new player" class as it is one of the few that you can actually turn a profit from while leveling up by making and selling vehicles.

Re: Hi
Vehicles usually do the thing, most bang for the buck. And many can be sold at for example Restuss.
DE is a good beginners path, tons of different components and components for components must be used so that learning is quickly hammered into one's head, most of these components do not need any quality, but those that do must be top-notch --- or combine 2*level-3 to get a level-5 or something like that. And DE is not that resource hungry, you just need to watch out for some resource classes that do not spawn that often, so SWGCraft is your best bets in that, find some SWGAide-guards in a nearby thread.
Cheers

Re: Hi
Oh God yeah if my member goes the whole rp is screwed. :p
Incidently, what do you use to make a droid chassis? I'm making an 8d8 for my officer as a weird little assistant.
Great, two droid motive units i've made are apparently incompatible.

Re: Hi
The 8D8 droid chassis, like many other parts, require "Identical" parts in some slots. In this case "Droid Motive System"s.
If multiple parts are to be placed in a single slot they will be required to be either "Simular" or Identicle. To achieve "simular" parts you can hand craft them using the same resources in each resource box, and either not experiment on them or experiment on them so that they have the exact same stats. To achieve "Identicle" parts they have to have the same Serial Number. This can only be achieve by running a schematic in a factory, producing identical parts witht he same serial number.
So, your only recourse is to buy a factory to run some "droid motive systems" in, or find some one else with a factory. (or maybe one of the other DEs on the server can help you out with a crate of em. =) )/

Re: Hi
Have been lurking in the background here, but ... , Pelia, if you have come as far as "identical" versus "similar" I suggest you take the time and go through the Beginners Guide for Traders. By now you will begin to face the more complex sections of crafting, using factories, experimenting, and more
