JnF's SWGCTool v2.0.2

Hello folks,

the SWGCTool has been updated due to the recent changes at the url of this site. I took the opportunity to include some bug fixing. Here's the change log:

Fixes
  • Small fixes in the Resources worksheet
  • Added some missing Trader(Munitions) schematics
  • Added the server TC Prime in the server list
  • Aligned the tool with the new changed site domain (SWGCraft.org)
  • Adjusted the import function: now the procedure sets the professions visibility according to the professions chosen in the source file

Here is a quick "How to" to getting started with this tool:

For NEW users:
  • Download the file from the download link (see below)
  • Unzip it, copy the zlib.dll file under C:\Windows\System32 folder (for 32bit operating systems) or under C:\Windows\syswow64 (for 64bit operating systems)
  • Open it, set your preferences inside the control panel (see the manual for a detailed "how to")
  • Download the last resources and start using the tool...

For everyone already using a 2.x version
  • Download the tool and unzip it at the preferred location
  • Open it and click on the "Import Data" button
  • Confirm the import and choose the file you were using before this new release
  • Once the import is completed, import the updated list of resources clicking on the "Update Resources" button

Manual
Download a small guide that shows you the first basic operations to get started with this tool here

Obviously, if you find any bug, don't hesitate to notify it to me. I've many ideas for version 2.1, but as always, I'll be very pleased to pay attention to your ideas too...

Are you getting an error? Which steps have you done? On a side note, which version of Excel are you using?

using Excel 2003.

Error says (translated): Compiling error. Project or library not found.

That could sound like you forgot to put the zlib.dll in windows/system32...

I admit that I do not know much about desktop programming, but dll is short for dynamically linked library. And zlib is a compression utlity that we also use to compress the current_resources files on this site

My guess might be entirely wrong though, as I do not have excel installed myself

Nope, it's not a problem with zlib since it should say "Unable to find zlib.dll" if that would be the problem......

I'm investigating the issue, Tharek can you confirm me you're getting the error when you click the "Browse..." button or when you're trying to download the latest resources from swgcraft?

I never had that issue before, consider that the code binded to that button is maybe 4 years old. I've installed office on a fresh installed machine, copied the file and opened it, and I have no issues at all. I'm still unable to reproduce this bug, so, if you can, I ask you to press the Debug button when you get the error and make a screenshot to post here.

Omg.....how is it possible? It seems that you're missing one of the files that comes with the installation of the Office suite (missing or damaged)

Pls verify that you have this file

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VBA\VBA6\VBE6.DLL

(note: sometimes "Program Files" is translated in your language so it could be Programmen or Programme)

http://www.pcreview.co.uk/forums/thread-1632171.php (First result on Google on that error)
Quote:
This happens whenever any of the references cannot be
found. It just misleadingly displays an error on a
function from the first library in the list (VB) when it
is missing any one of the libraries. On the other
machine, go into the VBE and select Tools | References
from the menu bar. Fund the one marked MISSING, remove it
and browse to find the correct one.

uhm...I see...thanks for that Sabuno, never got that problem, so I thought it was a missing dll error.

Ok Tharek, here are the steps you have to follow to solve this issue:

Click on "Extras" in the window you see in your screenshot
Click on the first voice of the menu you opened
In the window that will open, check for one voice in the list where you see the word "Missing"
Uncheck that voice (pull out the flag) and click Ok
Close the code window and you're done
    Save the file

This should works.
